As we see the world spinning apparently out of control, Jesus's words call us to take action and to spread the Good News to the darkest corners of the Earth.
Are we looking at the End of Times?
Elisabeth Elliot--
"A Christian who is saturated with the Word," my father wrote, "is likely to have a calm, wholesome outlook on life; to be kept steady in the path of God's will in either joy or sorrow, wealth or poverty; he is likely to be a pleasant companion, not voluble in aimless talk; and he will not be overly disturbed by world conditions."
(The Shaping of a Christian Family, p.56)
Psalm 119:105
Often we are willing to obey God, but we want to have a fallback plan-just in case!!! Scripture has a name for one that has a plan. They are called "double-minded"(James 4:8) Any believers who desire to hear from God-but have a "Plan B"in their pocket-shouldn't "expect to receive anything from the Lord"-including his continued direction and guidance. Abraham did not set out to Mt. Moriah to carry out a difficult request from God with a sacrificial animal strapped to his side for "just in case".
