Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear for I am with you, Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

God cannot give us a happiness apart from Himself because there is no such a thing.

- C. S. Lewis

Psalm 63:5 - You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise You with songs of joy.

“Fulfillment is contagious; people are drawn to those who know their God and are satisfied in him. There is no greater testimony, no matter how selfless any other attitude appears. Let your soul be filled with the power and presence of God; then pour Him out on those around you. Your fulfilment reflects Him well.” - C. Tiegreen

2 Cor. 4:16-18
“So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day...” (finish reading the text, character limitations)

“Lord, my mind tells me my trial are long and your blessings are fleeting. Your word says otherwise. Teach me that foreign tongue so that it becomes my first language - for my good, others’ benefit, and your glory. Amen.” Tiegreen, p. 215.

"He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, He did not open His mouth." (Isaiah 53:7)

"Lord, may I always reflect your Kingdom values and the power of your ways. Make my words powerful when I speak them. Make my silence even more powerful when words are not enough. Amen." - Tiegreen, One Year Salt and Light Devotional, pg. 206.

"It was our weaknesses He carried; it was our sorrows that weighed Him down." - Isaiah 53:4

"Lord, I cannot thank you enough for carrying my weaknesses and bearing my sorrows. Thank you for all that salvation includes and the fullness of life it brings. Help me give others a taste of what you've given me. Amen." - Tiegreen, One Year Salt and Light Devotional

Luke 23:34 - Jesus said, "Father forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing." And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.

Prayer: "Dear Jesus, Your grace is always greater than anyone's sin. You have an infinite capacity to absorb and deflect the insults of this world. Let me be like You - overwhelm with heaven's glory and unconcerned with earths' affronts. Help me live an unoffended life because your grace is enough. Amen."

Proverbs 18:13 - If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame.

May we not easily jump to conclusions but hear them out first, lest we will be put to shame.

Even if defeated, it will not always result to sin but sin will always result in defeat.
Sin, which is disobedience to God laws and statutes, always undermines His intended blessings. Thus is a sure way to find ourselves defeated.

Read Joshua 1:1-9

Never fear the giants in the land. You are called to take territory for God's kingdom. That territory is a Promised Land given by Someone who does not fail to keep His word. Trust in Him. Go forward.

"Lord, adversaries can be brutal to believers, and sometimes I'd rather avoid them. But you have promised victory. May I walk in it confidently and consistently wherever I go. May I step into every inch of your promises. Amen." - C. Tiegreen

1 Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but not he contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.

“Father, fill me with relentless, overcoming love. Let my vision be so focused on others’ needs that I hardly notice their faults. May I show others the same kind of mercy you have shown me. Amen.”

- Tiegreen, The One Year Salt and Light Devotional, pg. 138.

"Jesus, thank you for the privilege of bearing your name, though I can hardly imagine bearing your fruit. Teach me. Empower me. Send me wherever and however you choose. (John 20:21) Let your Kingdom flourish in me and through me. Amen.

- Tiegreen, The One Year Salt and Light Devotional, pg. 132.

Prayer:
"Jesus, what does it mean to be seated with you? What will my eyes be privileged to see? How do I access the power of your resurrection and the wonders of your love? Show me. Pour out your provision to the world through me. Amen." (Ephesians 2:6)

-Tiegreen, The One Year Salt and Light Devotional, pg. 130.

Jesus came not to make the world uniform but to make it new, and it is clear from Revelation's scenes of heaven that people of every tribe and tongue - still very distinguishable - will worship before his throne. (Rev 7:9) - C. Tiegreen, pg. 109.

- a good answer to people who says that when one becomes a follower of Christ (a Christian for that matter), he will lose his identity, personality and essences. NOPE! Christians are renewed (2 Cor. 5:17) and are being made much better.
