76. Prophecy of the Messiah

In around 586 BC Daniel in 9:25-26 prophesied that a coming anointed one would make atonement after a decree, and he would be killed before Jerusalem and the temple are destroyed. This points to Jesus (Isaiah 53; Romans 11:26; Hebrews 9:28).
