I recently watched this film Silence. It just reminded me of the need for a spiritual relationship with Christ. So many put their hope in the body and their community. But if Christ is God as the Bible says, as Christ said, “ before Abraham was I AM”, then we must come to the conclusion that Christ is also spirit within us. It must be our hope in Him alone that carries us through the harshest of suffering. I am alive in His Spirit, born again not of flesh, but of the Holy Spirit. Eternal life is for those born of the Spirit with the body. Everlasting life is first spiritual and then in the twinkling of an eye we are restored.
