White people. You don’t want to hear that do you? As soon as that is said I tune out. Do you? And so you should. But what about when Kanye says the Jewish media? Do you feel the same disquiet as when people talk about white CEOs? How do you feel when they talk about Black People? Or Immigrants? Do you know inherently the dangers of the wide brush? Or how about when they talk about Christians? These terms all mean nothing. There is no organization controlling all white people, all black people, all Jewish people, or all Immigrants, they don’t all think or act the same. There is one head to all Christians, certainly not the pope, Jesus Christ, and any who don’t follow him perhaps don’t belong in that number. And not all who follow Christ share a common notion of what it means to be Christian. Reject these divisive words. Look instead at individual organizations and their leaderships and judge what they do.
