Did Abraham and Sarah Try to Rush God?

Some teach that Abraham and Sarah lost faith in God by attempting to rush God concerning His promise to Abraham to give him a son despite Sarah being barren. But is that really what the Genesis scriptures tell or reveal to us. We do not think so. We do not believe in teaching that the birth of Ishmael was a mistake.
