IF YOU CALL YOURSELF A CHRISTIAN, HOW CAN YOU SIN?

Marriage is supposed to be a picture of the New Covenant.

If you have died and been Born Again in Baptism to Jesus Christ for the Remission of your Sins and received the Holy Spirit.

Blood has been shed and 2 spirits have been joined.

If you are one spirit with Him, how can you Sin without Him Sinning?

Can He Sin or are you not actually joined to Him? Have you taken His name in vain?

Please think and pray about this.

So I just had a thought. In Hebrew tradition after betrothal the groom would go away to build the home for him and his bride. Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you.
Remember how he made baked fish for his disciples on the shore after His resurrection? He didn't have to. He walked through walls and changed His appearance, but He took the time to make food for His disciples who had worked hard all night and then He created another miracle so that they had full nets of fish that Peter dragged to shore. So after He ascended into heaven, is He like building the New Jerusalem by hand?

Do you do what you do not want to do?

Romans 7:15
"For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I."

Is your God big enough to set you free from Sin?

Matthew 1:21
"... thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins."

John 8:34-36
".. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

Do you believe He will do it?

Isaiah 41:10-13
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

John 6:29
"... This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."

Mark 16:16
“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

Do you have ?

Jesus came to Save His people FROM their Sins. What does that mean to you? Are you His people? Do you see anything in there about your responsibility in that? It sounds like a promise if you are His people. How do you become His people?

1 John 3:9 KJV
"Whosoever is born (again) of God doth not commit sin; for his(God's) seed (The Holy Spirit / Nature =Hebrews 2:16) remaineth in him(John 1:33): and he cannot sin, because he is born of God."

"Whosoever is born again of God does not sin; for God's Holy Spirit nature remains in him even as it did in Jesus: and he is incapable of sinning, because he has been born again of God."

I am taking a Philosophy course for a Chaplain degree and I was thinking about the question,
"Can God make a Rock so big that He can't move it"?

I have two answers:

1st, is to ask a question,
"Can an ILLOGICAL god create a rock so big that He can't move it?"
If the answer is Yes then that god is illogical.
If NO then that god would be finite and therefore not a god worth worshiping unless you were illogical yourself, meaning that to ask such a question about a perfectly logical God would also be illogical.

My second answer is to say, Yes, that God did create a rock so big that He can't move it in a sense. It is the heart of a person who chooses to be illogical given the information necessary to choose to be logical.

Jesus came to save His people from their Sins.
If you Sin you don't know Him. (see 1 John 3:6)
You may know about Jesus but do you KNOW Him in the biblical sense?
Marriage is an allegory of the relationship we are supposed to have with God.
1 John 3:9 tells us,
“Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his(God's) seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”
Seed there is sperma in Greek.
When Jesus was baptized the Holy Spirit came and remained. This is true for everyone who has truly been Born Again of water & the Holy Spirit.
This is the New Covenant that was promised?
Hosea 2:19-20 says, "And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD."
Remember Matthew 7:23? “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
