The NT writers were guided by God to write down the truth (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17). The original autographs have been reconstructed to a high degree of confidence from the 24,000 Greek and non-Greek manuscripts and early patristic quotes.
1 Corinthians was written by Paul in 53-56 A.D. In 11:24b-25a he quotes Luke 22:19b-20a verbatim (see P46, P75): ...touto poieite eis ten emen anamnesin 25 hosautos kai to poterion meta to deipnesai legon touto to poterion he kaine diatheke...
Luke writes in 3:1 of a Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene. He is mentioned by Josephus in Antiquities 18.237, 19.275, 20.138, and in Greek inscriptions, which Titus Kennedy dates to no later than 29 AD, in agreement with Luke. (p.91)
In “Excavating the Evidence for Jesus,” Titus Kennedy discusses the significant evidence supporting the authenticity of the ossuary which has the inscription: Ya’akov bar Yosef akhui di Yeshua “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus.” James was martyred in 62 AD.
Josephus wrote in 93 AD: “They reported that he [Jesus] appeared to them after three days from his crucifixion and that he was alive.” Cornelius Tacitus wrote in ca. 115 AD “Christus, the founder of the name, was put to death by Pontius Pilate...”
Hezekiah son of Ahaz (2 Kings 18:1, etc). The Taylor Prism, reads: u (m).kha-za-qi-a-u KUR.ia-u-da-a-a…“ URU.ur-sa-li-im-mu URU LUGAL-[ti-shu] "Moreover, Hezekiah of the land of Judah ... city of Jerusalem, [his] royal city."
David (ca. 1036-966 BC; 1 Kings 12:19, etc). Davidic dynasty. The Tel Dan stele, line 9, reads: byt dwd “House of David.” The Dhiban Mesha stele, line 12, reads: w'sb msm 't ar'l dwdh “I captured from there it’s Davidic lion.”
Lymphocyte cells can produce over 100,000,000 varieties of antibodies, and the processes that produce antibodies require an array of molecular machines. The adaptive immune system is irreducibly complex.
Dead Sea Scroll 1QIsa(a) for Isaiah 53:11 reads: “After the suffering of his soul he will see light and be satisfied by his knowledge. The righteous one, my servant, will make many righteous, and he will bear their iniquities.”
Isaiah/Yeshayah the prophet (2 Kings 19:20). A City of David seal reads: lysayh nvy: "Belonging to Yeshayah the Prophet." The spelling for prophet is also found in Dead Sea Scroll 1QIsa(a) for Isaiah 28:7 and 1QDeut(a) for Deuteronomy 13:4.
Papyrus 13 is dated 225–250 A.D., and has portions of the book of Hebrews. Hebrews was written before 70 A.D. In 2:17 it reads that Jesus was to: hilaskethai tas hamartias tou laou “make atonement for the sins of the people.”
In 586 BC Daniel in 9:25-26 prophesied that a coming Messiah would make atonement after a decree, and he would be killed before Jerusalem and the temple are destroyed. The calculations point to 26 or 33 AD, Jesus.
Topoisomerase molecular machines are present in all domains of life to untangle supercoils in DNA strands during replication and transcription by breaking and splicing a strand of DNA in a four-step procedure.
MO-1 is a magnetotactic bacterium which can orient itself along geomagnetic field lines and has a gear-driven seven-engine flagellar bundle for propulsion, which is a very different architecture compared to the flagellar rotary motor in E. coli.
The bacterial flagellum is powered by a rotary motor, which has a drive shaft, universal joint, rotor, bushings, stator, and a clutch and braking system. It has a near 100% efficiency and displays a clear top-down design logic.
1) The accounts of Matthew, Mark (=Peter) and John vary and this is a feature of all real eyewitness accounts. 2) The witnesses were present. 3) Their accounts corroborated and 4) didn’t change. 5) No motives of greed, lust or power. They pass the reliable witness tests.
Codex Sinaiticus is dated 330-360 A.D. and contains the entire Greek New Testament. In Acts 5:30,32, Peter and the other apostles testified before the Sanhedrin, "The God of our fathers raised up Jesus ... And we are witnesses of these things.”
Codex Vaticanus is dated 300-350 A.D. and contains the majority of the Greek New Testament. In Acts 3:15 (below) Peter with John says to the crowd concerning Jesus, “You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.”
