Should Christians celebrate Christmas? Many have pointed out that it was once a pagan thing. But can't we, through the power of Christ, redeem this festival to celebrate the sacrifice Jesus made in simply coming to earth?

Can Christians celebrate Christmas?

@StevenBerry Yes, definitely. whether it was a pagan holiday or not, I personally believe is irrelevant. the fact is that it's been celebrated as Jesus' birthday for at least 1700 years. ... The entire WORLD roughly knows that Christmas is Jesus' birthday. For Christians to start fighting about it not being His birthday to the point that they literally scorn any believers who do... is very wrong and sends a very confusing msg to unbelievers. Pres Trump has been a breath of fresh air. God bless!

@StevenBerry Merry Christmas! πŸŽ„πŸ˜Š ... I speak like this now because over the past number of years I've actually been kinda hiding in a corner over it. Those who have told me it's wrong to celebrate it have been quite intimidating. which also doesn't help their argument. Their approach with me has basically been just plan bullying.

@StevenBerry thanks but no worries. I have been starting to have the confidence to freely celebrate Christmas WITH a Christmas tree. 😊We humans always go to opposite extremes. Tired of commercialism, trying to restore the sweetness of Christmas but missing the mark. It's the heart of the holy day that needs to be restored. Worshipping Jesus Himself and loving each other. Like "the sabbath is made for man not man for the sabbath." it doesn't mean you have to throw the other sweet parts out.
