Vegetables π₯¬ π₯¦π₯π₯π π
Daniel 1:12-16 π
Please test your servants for ten days by providing us with some vegetables to eat and water to drink.
Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who are eating the royal delicacies...
At the end of the ten days their appearance was better and their bodies were healthier than all the young men who had been eating the royal delicacies.
So the warden removed the delicacies and the wine from their diet and gave them a diet of vegetables instead.
Ezekiel 18:23-24 π
Do I actually delight in the death of the wicked, declares the sovereign Lord? Do I not prefer that he turn from his wicked conduct and live?
βBut if a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and practices wrongdoing according to all the abominable practices the wicked carry out,

Let us examine and search our ways, and return to the LORD.

The Lord has made a promise to Israel.
He promises it as the one who fixed the sun to give light by day and the moon and stars to give light by night. He promises it as the one who stirs up the sea so that its waves roll. He promises it as the one who is known as the Lord who rules over all.
The Lord affirms, βThe descendants of Israel will not cease forever to be a nation in my sight. That could only happen if the fixed ordering of the heavenly lights were to cease...β
