Points for prayer for revival in Scotland
Hi Andy
These are big questions my friend!
The Act of Union (1707) was a shady deal between the English parliament and Scottish aristocracy which effectively shut the people out of decision making, up to the present day.
In my lifetime I have seen Scotland voting Labour etc and being hamstrung by Conservative government. Even when we had a Labour government Scotland was badly treated. Scotland right now is speaking clearly with one voice by the majority to be an independent nation. The shift from Labour to SNP is largely due to the population waking up to the lies of the socialists in Labour over the decades. The "once in a generation" statement is a widely misused myth, which was not policy but an off the cuff statement by a journalist which was seized on by unionist campaigners.
But having said all that, I have no real interest in politics nowadays - my focus is on serving God and praying for a revival in the whole of the UK.
Best regards brother
Alan

Thanks Alan,
History isn't my strongest suit! And like I say, with no TV licence, news is based in what I can find when looking...probably less skewed than the BBC though lol

@DevotionalTreasures it's making me sad hearing talking, again, for an independent Scotland........regardless of the politics, i'd rather see this United Kingdom as 4 parts, not 3...
wondering what your thoughts are on her latest push, again, for another referendum for an independent Scotland? especially when the last referendum was supposed to be a once in a generation event just a few years ago?
from my perspective, south of the border [that I love crossing!], it seems like Scotland is becoming increasingly fragmented with the regular pushes to become part of the EU.
perhaps it's due to the news reports I do get to see (we've not had a TV licence for many years now), but the political leadership seems very removed from the people - more so than even here in England
would value you thoughts...
