Thought of the day - you cannot preach salvation without sin, because without sin there is no need for a Saviour.
@Ps13 To be all honest: why would anyone even care if someone told them: "Jesus loves you". Then, everything is alright and I can go on sinning, right?
God hates the wicked every day! There are so many verses about the hatred of God towards people in the Psalms, in Proverbs, in Romans, Revelation and more.
It's much harder to preach a message that a sinful human being clearly doesn't want to hear...

@erdenpilger perhaps it doesn't work nowadays because no one in North America really attempts it. I think also people are emotionally prepared for the message because they have heard it before. Jesus loves you isn't exactly a groundbreaking concept. I personally believe I love you will break down the barriers, but that comes with a level of commitment I don't think most NA Christians are willing to make. We can't just say it, we need to live it, with passion, boldness, and pride in our Creator.
