When Adam and Eve sinned, they passed their God-given authority to the devil who tried to lure Jesus into the "easy way" out. (Of course, he is a liar and Jesus knew not to trust him anyway...) But there are many who still take the devil's easy way by accepting all kinds of luxuries in this life to make it more comfortable. They shrink back from the Father's way. Jesus was not tricked.

In Matthew 28:18 Jesus says, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me."

When Jesus chose the way of the Father, the way of suffering, He gained ALL authority in Heaven AND on earth and gave us an example to follow! Choose the Father's way. The American dream is a lie. It never satisfies. Lay it all down, and follow Jesus to victory!

Sometimes preachers make it sound like the most spiritual things you can do are the things that require “quiet time” or personal freedoms that moms of young kids do not have. Let’s see what Jesus values from Mark 9:33-37...

They came to Capernaum. When He was in the house, He asked them, “What were you arguing about on the road?” But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.
Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
He took a little child whom He placed among them. Taking the child in His arms, He said to them, “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in My Name welcomes Me; and whoever welcomes Me does not welcome Me but the One who sent Me.”

Do you see your tireless service to your children as serving Jesus Himself?! If the greatest among us is the one who serves the most, there are a LOT of great mamas out there that Jesus sees and who will be rewarded!!

Thank you to everyone who has been praying. We received help with our squatter village school-aged kids so they don’t all have to skip a semester of school. A local teacher came to the rescue and is helping our ground staff get kids into a “no online” system where teachers will rotate to homes. Such an answer to prayer! Poverty has to go in Jesus’ Name!

Please continue to pray for our Filipino missions staff as they try to help quarantined squatter village kids to access schooling. So many have opted out because they don’t understand the new system and can’t do anything online. Please agree with me for educational breakthroughs. These underprivileged people can’t afford to get behind educationally- it’s their empowerment to beat poverty. Thanks for praying as we lean into God’s creativity on this.

Please pray for the Philippines where we serve. Restrictions on young people under 20 have kept then from any gatherings for about 4 months now. We had a lot of new believers who really need support and help, so this has made growth really challenging.
