Vail Yourself so that Christ Will Unvail You

One amazing lesson that we can learn from the life of Miss Rebekah Bethuel in the Bible is the manner in which she covered her whole self (not just her head) with a vail the moment she saw Isaac her husband for the first time. This was after she had willingly and promptly stepped down from the camel as a sign of humility.

Covering her whole self with a vail implies the following:
1. It's no more I, but Isaac
2. I (Rebekah) have been permanently hidden inside Isaac
3. I've lost my name. Henceforth, I wish to be known as Mrs Isaac.

Rebekah vailed herself in order for Isaac to unvail her first to himself and then to the world. This is the height of submission!

Lessons for Me as a Disciple of Jesus Christ
1. It's no more I who live, but Christ.
2. Christ is now my new name and identity.
3. I need to willingly vail myself in submission to Christ and in humility so that Christ will unvail me to Himself and also showcase me to the world.
