Wolfgang Simson, the son-in-law of the late Sadhu Chellappa from India who ca. 2014 wrote the booklet "HINDU - A Geographical Country or the Name of a Religion?" told me that "India" is even called "India" in the Bible!

He's right, in the book of Esther (Wikipedia estimates that timeperiod as ca 483 - 473 BCE):

(New Living Translation)
"These events happened in the days of King Xerxes, who reigned over 127 provinces stretching from India to Ethiopia."
