Dear friends,
Torrential monsoon rains and river surges have unleashed catastrophic flooding across Pakistan’s Punjab and beyond. Millions are affected, with mass evacuations under way as the Ravi, Chenab, and Sutlej rivers overtop embankments and inundate villages and farmland. Authorities report large-scale rescues and relocations—some of the worst flooding in decades. ([AP News][1], [Reuters][2])

International and UN updates confirm the scale: hundreds of deaths since late August, with more heavy rain and “high flood” warnings along major rivers. Children are among the most vulnerable, with UNICEF sounding the alarm about the impact on families and schools
