The job of the evangelist or evangelistic preacher is to put his finger on he pulse of a community and to understand their questions, their concerns, their desires and their obstacles. How can the preacher speak God’s truth, which is the only truth, into these issues which consume the heart of the audience.

Can we be equally thoughtful about the way we preach and witness to our friends and neighbors? We can and we should, by all means, try. I think we will see remarkable results if we put our hearts into this task.
