Power is not a bad thing. It’s what we do with power that matters.

All parents wield tremendous influence over the lives of our children. This is one reason that the Gospel of Jesus is so necessary. If we don’t know how to use what has been given to us, we will burn down the world and all that is in it. The Gospel is God’s way of fixing what we have damaged and of saying, through Jesus, “this is how it is done. This is what being an image bearer looks like.”

“This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!” Matthew 17:5

I think there is a strong Christian concept behind the ideal of democracy because, in theory, it gives a voice to the voiceless. Democracy is under siege by the “elites” of the world because they don’t see us as equals but as their servants. But the main thrust of the Gospel is that leaders, according to God’s image, use their power to serve, not to dominate or to secure “their” power.

They gave Him the scroll of Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written:

“The spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to tell the poor the good news. He has sent me to announce release to the prisoners and sight to the blind, and to set the wounded victims free, to announce God’s special favor.”

Luke 4:17-19

This is Jesus’ opening remarks to His ministry. This is Jesus’ agenda. This is what Jesus planned to do with the power that God gave Him.

When Jesus began to flesh out this manifesto, that is when the attacks began. Nobody has a problem with power if it is used to serve their agenda. But if it is used for another’s agenda, power becomes a threat. Jesus’ agenda was to serve the weak. Those who use the weak to support their power, hate this agenda.

No one in Jesus’ day denied that He had power. What they objected to is the way He used it.

The issue addressed by the Gospel, more than anything else, is power.

It’s not doctrine.

It’s not eternal life.

It’s power and how you use it.

Battle assignment for the day:
Bless your spouse by name.
Bless your children by name. Bless them specifically.
Bless your country.
Bless your government .
Be specific.

What it happen. Jesus loves to bless through us. ⚡️

"The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, But the righteous are bold as a lion." Proverbs 28:1

Thank you, Jesus, for the boldness of a lion. We receive Your Spirit for bravery today. We say "yes" to You. Fear and doom can go to Hell; we believe in Jesus.

Here we are, send us, Oh Lord!

"America, America, God shed His grace on thee."

Thank you, Jesus, for blessing our nation with such an extraordinary measure of Your grace. Forgive us for turning Your grace into a license to sin. We repent. We give you our spirit of rebellion, and we receive Your Holy Spirit of Holiness.

"All nations whom You have made will come and worship before You, Lord, And they will glorify Your name." Psalm 86:9

Thank you, Jesus, for the blood you shed for our nation and the people of our country. We come to worship you and glorify Your name. Your name alone gives life, freedom, and wholeness. We repent of every coping mechanism and source of "healing" that does not derive from the blood You shed on the cross. Your blood gives us victory over evil. We don't cope when we have hope; we have joy and courage instead. So, we repent of our survival mentality and trade our coping for hope and boldness in You.

Gospel Truth: Jesus Prays For You

“It is the Messiah, Jesus, who has died, or rather has been raised; who is at God’s right hand, and who prays on our behalf!”
Romans 8:34

Gospel Truth:
You exist because God wants you to exist.

"O Lord our God, You deserve to receive glory and honor and power, because You created all things; because of Your will they existed and were created." Revelation 4:11

You and I are meant to exercise a great amount of authority on earth. We are tempted and led away into sin because there are evil spirits in the world that want to usurp our role and hijack our authority.

It’s vital that we understand the war against us. The enemy wants our authority and gains access to it through deceit. When we believe the enemies lies, we give it legal access to our authority.

The way back to our God-given destiny is always to repent (renounce the sins and lies) and believe the Gospel.

Gospel Truth:
-Jesus has all authority in Heaven and Earth (demonstrated in the Resurrection).

-Jesus became a curse for us so that we could be free of every curse against us.

-Jesus gives us back the authority that we gave away.

So Jesus said, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you. John 20:21

Yes, Lord, thank you for your mercy and grace. Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for restoring me to my Holy-ordained position. I will follow You.

The great drama in which we live is not created for our entertainment but for our participation.

If Easter began for you with a sunrise service and ended when the sun went down, you have missed the whole point of Easter.
Easter launched the new creation. Because Jesus is raised from the dead, all things are possible. Speak life over your nation, neighborhood, and family.

There is power
Power
Wonder-working power
In the blood of the Lamb!

Isn’t it odd that we don’t have a problem with a “sound like a rushing wind” and “tongues, seemingly made of fire,” appearing in a room and “resting” on the disciples, (Acts 2), but we get mad when someone claims that a cloud with something like specks of gold in it appeared as they were worshiping and floated about the room?

For those of you who don’t know, many people testified that something like that happened at Bethel Church several years back. I was a skeptic myself back then. Now, I have to say, the world is a much stranger place than I would have liked it to be. But it is also strangely wonderful.

God is always doing a new thing. We are living at the beginning of a Holy Spirit revival.

“Behold, I am going to do something new, Now it will spring up; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19

Jesus said to “ask and you shall receive.” (Matthew 7:7)

What are you are asking for from Jesus? Is it a specific request? Specific requests get specific answers. Jesus is listening. Watch and see.

“In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.” Psalm 5:3

Feel free to share your requests in the comments so that others can agree in prayer with you.
