Isaiah 28:16 – 1Peter 2:6
MT Isaiah 28:16: “whoever believes will not hurry.”
LXX Isaiah 28:16: “and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
1Peter 2:6: “and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
In the traditional Masoretic Hebrew text stream “in him” fell out from a copyist skip. The word ends in yw, and the previous word ends in yn (final n). In square script the last two letters of the words look very similar.
A personal prayer request. Pls. A close friend of mine was just arrested while preaching in a house church meeting. As you attend church service, online fellowship, or worship as a family at home today - pls remember our dear friend in China.

limoi [kai loimoi] kai
Matthew 24:7 “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines [and plagues] and earthquakes in various places.”
In this homoioarcton a copyist skipped from kai to kai, with imoi preceding in both instances. To conveniently view the manuscript evidence see MySword Greek NT module MGNT, with critical apparatus.

In the Masoretic Hebrew text stream for Genesis 11:13 a copyist skipped from the Hebrew words for “hundred years and fathered sons and daughters. And lived” to their next occurrence. This initially removed most of the information about Kenan. The Hebrew copy used for the Greek LXX translation done in the 3rd cent. B.C. was from a text stream that did not experience the copyist skip.

plerothosin [kairoi kai esontai] kairoi
Luke 21:24 “And they will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the gentiles until are fulfilled [the times. So there will be] times of the gentiles.”
In this early homoioarcton a copyist skipped from kairoi “times” to kairoi “times” and three Greek words fell out of most text streams.

nwkr’y [n’mlw kl btyy] n’ml
Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother, that [it may go well for you, that] your days may be long in the land which the LORD your God gives you.”
In the above a copyist wrote n’ml and his eyes went to n’mlw in his archetype and he began writing nwkr’y. This copyist skip is known as a four-letter homoioteleuton. Three Hebrew words subsequently fell out of the Masoretic Hebrew text. Compare Ephesians 6:3.
