True enough! Darwin & Social Darwinism was misused to the N'th degree by very evil groups. Sadly, the "Catholic" and secret-society groups "deep (and very evil) church" have had much of the blame for totalitarian ideologies, insane stories and exposés have come out from many sources the last decades about 200-500 year old stuff. Protestants once knew some of this, but probably not to such a great extent - breath, width or depth.
