I think I’m gonna get the vaccine. Based on what I read about it, it makes sense to me.

It’s a one-time instruction on your body:

Once the instructions (mRNA) are inside the immune cells, the cells use them to make the protein piece. After the protein piece is made, the cell breaks down the instructions and gets rid of them.

The protein it makes resembles proteins on the surface of the virus:

COVID-19 mRNA vaccines give instructions for our cells to make a harmless piece of what is called the “spike protein.” The spike protein is found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19.

I’m no biology expert. I don’t believe “trust the experts” is always good advice, especially in today’s world. But if a lot of people get the vaccine before me, and it’s overall less harmful to them than the virus itself, I think it’s worth it.

You don’t have to do what I do. It’s a personal choice.

And don’t even reply to this with “buh buh look at these articles about 3 people who died after taking the vaccine!!!” unless you’re gonna balance it with every anti-masker who died from the virus.
