I spent most of my life going tent camping, many times not in any campground. Early 2000s I would take off with my kayak and spend a weekend by myself in some wild area. LOVED THOSE TIMES!
When I met my now husband I told him he had to get his own kayak to spend time with me 😁, he did.
We went from a tent to a motorhome when we decided I needed to shut up and sort of hide.
Tent in the house makes sense to me.
