Someone has recently pointed out the difference between refuge and rescue. Rescue lifts you from the storm, refuge protects and provides a safe place within the storm.
God doesn’t always remove the storms from life, and He doesn’t always pull us out of the raging sea. He might allow the fire to take over. Yet He’s with us in the midst of it, no matter how terrible it may be.
