"Sun rises in northernmost Finland after two-month polar night".
Every country is dealing with their specific problems. 😁 When you live in a country where you don't see the sun for a couple of months, and the sun so pale that you don't get any tan of it for 6 months a year, you appreciate the summer and a trip to a country with strong sunshine is luxury! (This explains why Scandinavians don't want to sit in the shadow, when everybody else wants to). 😂

Look at those pictures! I have never experienced that much snow! Talking about extreme weather...
"People in Russian Siberia, on the other hand, aren’t “dreaming of a white Christmas” like in Sinatra’s song. Because, in Norilsk, Russia’s northernmost city, residents are subjected to 45 days of darkness each year, with temperatures as low as -27.4°F in February."

I have finally received my order from UK! I made the order on Dec 10th. But it has been stuck är the Finnish customs since Dec 30th, because UK is not in EU. Merry Christmas back to you BTJ! @bethany and @sinobach It was worth the wait and the extra fee to the customs - they were cheap anyway (books are never that cheap here). Finally I found out that the smuggler's hat isn't a smuggler hat. And I thought that I would get super powers by becoming a Ninja. 🤣 😜
This Back to Jerusalem podcast episode is absolute worth listening to! In addition to the interesting life story of a Polish man, it's really interesting to hear them unpack the gospel, grace and the practical consequences of the reality of the indwelling Christ. If you think this conversation is about bashing Catholics, you have come to the wrong podcast. In every Christian belief system there are Christians who wholeheartedly want to serve the Lord, who are humble and with a servants heart, BUT they live under the slavery of religious systems. They talk about how protestants might be living even more under legalism and heavy burdens than Catholics.
"In this podcast, Fabian, a former witch, turned Jesuit Priest, turned follower of Jesus, shares his dynamic testimony of how his journey in life has taken him from practicing magic to being born again.
Fabian tells how The Heavenly Man, the biography of Brother Yun, impacted his life dramatically."
"Professor Ehud Qimron, head of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Tel Aviv University and one of the leading Israeli immunologists, has written an open letter sharply criticizing the Israeli – and indeed global – management of the coronavirus pandemic."

We have just played Ticket to ride! It's a fun board game. There are a lot of games with the same name but different maps (the same rules). We chose to buy a game with the USA map. Nowadays children play so much on their phones and computers, that they need to learn real board games! Do you have any favorite board game? 🤔
Latte art by my husband. He bought an espresso machine almost a year ago, and has ever since practiced brewing and latte art. The machine is very manual and he has learnt about coffee beans (you grind them every time you make a new cup of coffee), optimal temperatures, milk etc. He's a great barista! I have even learnt to drink coffee (latte) as 40+ thanks to this tasty coffee.
I live in a strange country, I know! 😀 Some find it attractive, and others weird. (I think it's a combination of both). I have lived in two other countries as well, and grown up among Swedish speaking Finns in Finland, with our own culture - something in between Finland and Sweden. That means I can identify both with Finns and Swedes, and simultaneously feel like neither a Finn nor a Swede.
Swedish-speaking Finn from Finland. Wife, mother of one boy (2008). Teaching special education at the local university. I belive that the Organic Church/House Church is the NT way of doing Church. I'm interested in what's going on in the underground Church and I pray for the persecuted Christians.
