@tanjaostman Last summer in Italy they introduced the pass as now in Finland. Then in September for those who work in schools and from 15 October for all workers. I hope that in Finland they do not do as in Italy. I pray that everything can go back to normal, in the name of Jesus.
@tanjaostman Hi Tanja. Even in Italy, doctors or scientists who speak against the official narrative are prevented from working. There are even some evangelical churches that are asking for the green pass as a requirement to enter and attend meetings. For now they are few and I want to hope that they do not increase. I have been without a salary since September because I have chosen not to accept the green pass. If I don't go back to work soon I'll be officially fired. The situation is really oppressive.
@faith20 It's so wrong and sad! 😪
@tanjaostman I think one thing and for the first time I would like to express it. I think the western church needs a lot of help from the eastern church. For example, the persecuted church in Eastern countries has a long experience of suffering and how to deal with certain situations and crises, how to deal with persecutors, how to deal with famines, and so on. Now is the time to pray for the Western as well as the Eastern Churches and to share spiritual and practical strategies for dealing with what is happening in the world. Of course there are Christian books of testimonies (few in Italian) but I think that we need to prepare spiritually and biblically the Christians of the Western world who for too many years have underestimated the warnings of holy men of God.
@faith20 you are so right regarding learning from the underground persecuted church! That's why I found Back to Jerusalem so intersted. I don't want persecution here, but we see some signs... things are changing rapidly in our society, so we need to be prepared that anything can happen.
@tanjaostman Sometimes I use google translate. I apologize if the translation is not perfect.
@faith20 I think your English is great! At least for me as a non-native speaker... I understand exactly what you mean when you write, so just keep on writing! I also often hesitate when I write... sometimes I google if the expression I use is right, or if it's just something that I have made up. Sometimes I have to check the spelling of certain words. The more I write, the better I get... I read a lot, but since I don't regularily produce English (and have never lived in an English speaking country), it doesn't always come easily.
@tanjaostman @faith20 , I would never have guessed you're both non- native English speakers! You're amazing!
Our 4 sons are learning beginner Hebrew and are quick, but I struggle to remember even single words! Keep up the good language skills.👍
@Williams_girl @faith20 thanks for the encouragement! I've always loved English and it was one of my favorite subjects in school. For a Swedish speaker, it's not extremely difficult. There are so many similar words, and expressions. I read somewhere that the Scandinavian languages and English have the same roots. If you look at a map, you can see that Great Britain and Norway are really close. They were traveling a lot between these countries on the sea.
I'm impressed with your son's learning Hebrew! That is so different from English.
@tanjaostman , yes, it is so different.
@faith20 I appreciate your prayers! What's going on in our world feels like a bad dream, that I hope to wake up from... Yesterday I shared a post with my Facebook friends (it was in Finnish) of a medical doctor. She had signed a petition to the public health authorities and government about not giving the vaccine to children. It was initiated and written by several Finnish researchers, professors, MDs and others. She was fired from her job only for signing that!! How are you and your wife doing now as you have lost your jobs?
