@speakthetruth But the N. Testament says all food is now clean if prayed for and received with thanksgiving, but if you can't eat it in faith, then don't. But we are clearly taught in the New Testament that all foods are clean. To follow the old law brings us back to bondage. I think the Lord did this because He knows their will be a day that we will need meat of any kind to survive.

@KarMarJo57 Is it bondage, to obey your parents when you are a child? Is it bondage for a fish to not be able to walk on land? Is it bondage for us to do as the Lord said? If you fully believe that there will come a day that you will need any kind of meat that is available to survive, are you trusting the Lord? Did he not provide a way for his children in the wilderness to eat or to drink? If you trust him, could he not provide a way for you to not break his commandments?

@speakthetruth Fred, you are free in Christ not to eat pork. But the New Testament is clear, all meat is clean now if prayed for and received with thanksgiving. The Lord gave Peter the vision that all meats (& people) are clean now. Galatians speaks about going back under the law. The dietary directives of the New Testament are found in Acts: nothing strangled, no eating or drinking of blood, and abstain from fornication.

@KarMarJo57 Romans 7:16 ; 1 Timothy 1:8; Psalms 19:7, all of these state that the law is Good. So if you look at these verses then read 1 Timothy 4:4, you can conclude that the clean meats are good too. 2 Corinthians 6:14 - 18 also brings out that the unclean foods should be abstained from. God views eating unclean things on the same level as fornication.

@KarMarJo57 Also, what part of forever do we not understand? when he says that these things shall be and ordinance FOREVER, why do we not listen to it? God repeatedly punished his children in the OT and would have destroyed them several times if it had not been for others interceding on their behalf and for the longsufferingness of God. Then in the NT, he encourages disobedience to his word??? How can this be?
