@Berrybunchfamily ohh, you noticed the books. Yeah, they’re some of my favorites! How about you?

@Toolman I love the Chronicles of Narnia, and so do my children. I still read them...they're so well written and i love the stories

Lord of the Rings is another series we enjoy as a family, plus The Hobbit

I found out recently that CS Lewis who wrote Narnia, and JRRR Tolkien who wrote the Lord of the Rings, were both rivals and friends

@Berrybunchfamily more friends than rivals, but yeah. In fact Lewis got inspired to write Narnia partly from Tolkien sharing with him some of his writing about Middle-Earth. But Tolkien did not like Narnia. Part of that was he was jealous of how quickly Lewis got 7 books published (he had a hard time getting his Middle-Earth stuff published)

I’ve been a big fan of Narnia ever since I was a child. In fact that the 1st thing I bought with money earned from mowing grass was that box set you saw. I use to reread them 1-2 times a year, but not so much now (lots of things to read & a more demanding job than mowing). I’ve since broaden that fandom to CS Lewis’s other works, but Narnia will always be the ones closest to my heart.

I also have become a big fan of Tolkien. I discovered Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit when I was in my early teens. And have reread them a bit. Recently I’ve been reading more of his other Middle-Earth writings.

@Toolman a very precious box set then, from that early job you had 🙂

Excellent
