@MaryMamuzich what are biscuits to you? I see them in films - they look like what I'd call a scone...

@Berrybunchfamily biscuits here have no sugar added. Usually just flour, egg, butter, soda and milk or water. They taste good with butter and honey. I used to make them when I make soup. I need to again...

@Berrybunchfamily I just looked up Baking Powder Biscuits and it calls for a tablespoon of sugar..I don't think my mom put sugar in it... I can't remember, I'll have to ask her.

@MaryMamuzich I always substitute baking powder with salt...

@MaryMamuzich we've had to bin our slow cooker 😔 . Not very old. A decent [British] brand, and it kept not cooking our roast chicken joints anywrhere near time! 5 hrs low became more than 8 hrs on high!

Looking forward to replacing it once we've moved, and getting ma soup on 😊

I had to bin our slow cooker. A roast chicken should take 5 hrs on low. It was taking more than 8 hrs, on high, and still wasn't done...we didn't use it that much, and it was a reputable brand. Oh well - one less box to pack, move and unpack again!!

Looking forward to get a replacement once we move, and getting ma soup groove on 😊
