A Chinese student's essay I read today commented on the very high death toll from SARS in China, and saw the current restrictions as a wise precaution to avoid a repeat of that.
Meanwhile, Sweden, with very little in the way of lockdowns, does a lot better than countries with them, and we here in Florida are doing better than locked-down states. Seems the goal is to get people vaccinated, when unvaccinated continents (Africa), countries, states, and even less-vaccinated counties here in Florida have lower covid-19 rates. Money for pharmaceutical companies or getting people ready to take the mark?
