The Gospel is good news. However, for many church-going people, the Gospel WAS good news. Once upon a time, back when they “got saved” it was good news. Today, joy, peace, comfort, security, approval and all sorts of things are sought from much lesser entities than Christ. Media, Money, Pleasure, insurance, man’s approval, etc. Revival begins as soon as we return to the fountain of living water. Jesus is good news for right now. Jesus is good news TODAY. Every other source of strength is an idol.

Let us worship Jesus as the one and only this morning.

I had read on Google in a post that some sceptics attack Psalm 22 claiming it wasn't written circa 1000 years ago with regards to the Crucifixion of our Lord. The historical placing of Crucifixion as a torture in the sceptic's mind places doubt on Psalm 22 being prophetic. I have no problem with Psalm 22 myself, I was just curious if you had dealt with the sceptic view on this. @VeritasDomain

Saturday morning and there is still Hope in Jesus Christ! Your week has come and gone, are you any closer to God? Jesus is just a prayer away and He longs to here from you! Jesus is a friend that sticks closer than a brother! Come to Jesus today!

Similarly my first gospel album as a young Christian was an Elvis Gospel compilation cassette. My second was Walter Hawkins and his Love Centre Choir album "Love Alive 2"

Trust in the sovereignty of God only exists when trust in the love of God exists. If, no matter what our circumstance, we trust that God is good, faithful and present with us, we will never stumble. Our trust in God’s love and Sovereignty will be tested like King Ahaz of Israel.

“When the house of David was told, ‘Syria is in league with Ephraim,’ his heart and the heart of his people shook as the trees of the forrest shake before the wind.”
Isaiah 7:2

God was on the verge of bringing about a great deliverance for Israel but King Ahaz lacked the faith to enjoy that fact. Instead, he pooped his pants. But God brought about the deliverance anyway.

God is sovereign and God is good.

Come let us reason together.

We do not serve our Master perfectly, but we would if we could.

Joshua 1:9
9)“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Perfect for today!!!!!! Thank you Jesus!!

May we cry out in prayer often, hearing His Spirit in response. May we dive deep into the riches of His Word in our anguish, feeling His touch in the stillness of our soul.

A completely unrelated question...
Have you tackled the sceptic bible on psalm 22 yet?
