Good Morning, Friends!
Happy Valentine’s Day! Valentine’s Day is an appropriate day to remember those persecuted for the sake of righteousness. The man this day derives its name from, “Valentine,” is a father of the faith who continued to perform the sacred ritual of marriage when the government outlawed it. For this act of faithful bravery, Valentine lost his life, but not before he led the jailer’s daughter to Jesus and gave her back her sight through the power of God. It was this young and thankful lady who wrote a note of gratitude to Valentine before his execution.
Don't let Valentine’s day be degraded into cheap favors for cheap sex. Today is a day to write notes of gratitude to those who sacrificially live in truth for the sake of others.
@KarlGessler Great story and a great man of God 🙏
In Finland we actually don't call this day "Valentine's Day", instead we call it "Friend's Day" and it's a day to remember your friends. It has not much to do with romance either, as I've understood Valentine's Day is.
