Has the Kingdom of God arrived on earth as it is in heaven? Yes. This is the “good news” of the Gospel. But why do we see so much evil and corruption? Surely, if Jesus has set up His Kingdom on earth, we would not see such atrocities anymore....right?

During the first days of the Gospel announcement, Jesus was accused of being in league with the Devil. Imagine that! Jesus Himself is declaring the arrival of God’s kingdom and even casting our demons and healing the sick to prove it, and someone has the audacity to accuse Him of doing the Devil’s work! (See Matthew 12:24-28)

The fact is, whether or not it meets our expectations for how God carries out His purposes, if we believe in Jesus at all, we must believe that the Kingdom of God is here in spite of the continuing presence of evil. It is our trust in the Gospel of the kingdom that makes the evil lose its’ power. But if the evil in the present makes us lose our faith, we will never see the Kingdom.

The Gospel is good news. However, for many church-going people, the Gospel WAS good news. Once upon a time, back when they “got saved” it was good news. Today, joy, peace, comfort, security, approval and all sorts of things are sought from much lesser entities than Christ. Media, Money, Pleasure, insurance, man’s approval, etc. Revival begins as soon as we return to the fountain of living water. Jesus is good news for right now. Jesus is good news TODAY. Every other source of strength is an idol.

Let us worship Jesus as the one and only this morning.

Trust in the sovereignty of God only exists when trust in the love of God exists. If, no matter what our circumstance, we trust that God is good, faithful and present with us, we will never stumble. Our trust in God’s love and Sovereignty will be tested like King Ahaz of Israel.

“When the house of David was told, ‘Syria is in league with Ephraim,’ his heart and the heart of his people shook as the trees of the forrest shake before the wind.”
Isaiah 7:2

God was on the verge of bringing about a great deliverance for Israel but King Ahaz lacked the faith to enjoy that fact. Instead, he pooped his pants. But God brought about the deliverance anyway.

God is sovereign and God is good.

I take great delight in the sovereignty of God.

Sometimes my Calvinist Brother’s and Sisters seem to perceive the Sovereignty of God in a very narrow or negative way (I.e. God is sovereign over who repents and who doesn’t.) But when I think of God’s sovereignty, I think of God’s personal care over me like a good shepherd. The Apostle Paul experiences shepherding like this when he was caught in a storm while imprisoned on a Roman ship. Paul encouraged his frightened ship mates with this prophetic word of comfort:

“Take heart! No lives will be lost—only the ship. Last night, you see, an angel of the God to whom I belong, and whom I worship, stood beside me. ‘Don’t be afraid Paul...God has granted you all your traveling companions.’ So take heart, my friends. I believe God...”
Acts 27:22-23,24-25

The Sovereignty Of God is good news of comfort and peace. God is sovereign over nations and situations today too.

What is the Gospel story? Many people believe that the Gospel story is the story of Jesus coming to earth to show us the way to get to Heaven. A once popular worship chorus put it this way:

“You came from heaven to earth to show the way...from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky...”

This is not the Gospel story. God didn’t create a good world only to make His main object to show people how to escape it!

The Apostle Paul sums up the end goal of the Gospel this way:

“For He (God) has made known to us his will, according to his purpose which he set forth in Christ as a plan...to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth.” Ephesians 1:9-10

The plan is to reconcile the creation with the creator. This is why the Gospel is good news for the whole person and the whole planet. All things can be reconciled to God.

Any politician unconcerned with correcting the 2020 election DOES NOT REPRESENT THE PEOPLE.

I sent this email to the Calgary police dept in Canada. Here is their email address so you can write to them as well.

To The Calgary Police Department,

I have witnessed the arrest of Pastor Arthur Pawlowski. I find it disgraceful and incredibly cowardly. What are you doing to your country? You are persecuting the people you should be protecting. What is wrong with your sense of justice? The Bible says that God put you in the position for government  "to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right." 1 Peter 2:14. Why are you punishing those who do right instead of commending them? Many people are suffering and many more will suffer if you continue to protect tyranny instead of the people. Today it is pastor Arthur, tomorrow it will be one of your comrades who falls out of favor with the tyrants. Choose this day whom you will serve (Joshua 24:15).

“Then Ezra went up from Babylon, and he was a scribe skilled in the law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given; and the king granted him all that he requested because the hand of the Lord his God was upon him.” Ezra 7:6

Don’t look at what is possible. Only consider what God is asking you to do and make your requests before God. If the hand of the Lord is with you, who can stand against you?

Saturday will be a day of death that haunts the soul of thousands of young women who have scheduled abortions today. Saturday is Planned Parenthood’s kill-day.

Pray for mothers and fathers and babies. Pray for Doctors,
Grandparents, and Boyfriends. Pray for every person connected to an abortion. Pray for change, repentance, and healing. Speak LIFE. Lord, Jesus, have mercy.

“You know how it is with pagan rulers,” He said, “They Lord it over their subjects. They get all high and mighty and let everyone know it. But that is not how it’s to be with you. If anyone wants to be great, he must be your servant.”

Matthew 20:25-26

The United States Government was built around this idea. If the government is by the people and for the people, they will serve the people and the nation will be great. But as it is, our supposedly “elected” leaders have slipped into paganism. In fact, much of America has slipped into paganism as they “Lord over us,” instead of serving us. A Christian revival is the only way back to freedom and good government.
That revival begins with us giving up paganism and becoming servants in our families and communities.

Jesus’ election integrity reform:

“Don’t murder, don’t commit adultery, don’t steal, don’t lie under oath, respect your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.”

Matthew 19:18
