VOM uses the term “restricted nation” to describe countries where government-sanctioned circumstances or anti-Christian laws lead to Christians being harassed, imprisoned, killed or deprived of possessions or liberties because of their witness. Also included are countries where government policy or practice prevents Christians from obtaining Bibles or other Christian literature.

@Olamide My family and I have been so blessed to attend VOM conferences in our since our first child was a baby. One speaker a few years ago, a brother from Nigeria, gave a very serious talk. He talked about his work, but also gave an intense word to the church in the USA that we need to prepare for persecution. He said we're focusing on buildings, but we need to be building the children and preparing them. The Holy Spirit had already spoken this to me about my own children, but....

@Olamide this brother's intensity and passionate admonition has never left my heart. I don't know if you are connected with VOM or if you know this brother. But, if you do and if you talk with him and think of it, I'd like him to know that his message was heard. I am doing what I can and praying for more direction and opportunity...to build up the children to be true warriors who know the Truth and are able to proclaim the Truth, and will endure.

@Olamide I remember the message and his countenance more than his name. Maybe it's Samuel? I don't know the last name. I think he worked directly with VOM? He talked of counseling the parents of the school children who were kidnapped several years ago. He's not so tall and has a soldier-like appearance and a serious face. He didn't smile a lot. He was truly passionate about the Kingdom.
