I've read quite a bit of success and motivational literature.. It's good stuff. Alot of self help... and some good research claims.
But I find that in the Gospel there's Power... Yes! the power of God. There's the Holy Spirit enabling me.. Amen. The Words are Spirit and Life. The Word of God is Alive.
Success literature has its place like geography has its place.... But motivational science... Is just that - science and good logic.
Point taken?
@Olamide not so much focus on the Holy Spirit in self help books I guess...wouldn't really help them - I've never read one be honest (never had one in front of me to read...and I'm ok with that)
Perhaps this is a bigger reason why the Bible is powerful and popular 🙂
Perhaps that, and the fact the Bible is alive 🙂 - far more than any film or drama.

@Rinati @Olamide @Berrybunchfamily thats what I've learned. Self help isn't what I need . I need God. I've been learning the hard way. I lost apart of a toe because I was trying to fix myself.

The main issue with self help is the word SELF. 🙃
Self is our problem. And unless we resign our self nature to Jesus, we are hopeless.
