Why does it seem like every church meets on Sundays at 10:30? One would think that if a church met on other days of the week, people who cannot attend in Sundays could still go to church. .

@Ps13 Really? Jesus rose on the first day of the week. That's why we traditionally met then. The time varies. I know some that meet at 10 or 9. Traditionally it is 10-10:30 because everyone had chores to do because they had animals. Wed eve is why many churches have this service just for the reasons you mentioned.

@KarMarJo57 I understand all of that, I was raised in the church. What I am wondering is why we are still doing it? I can't find a scriptural basis for meeting on Sundays, much less in the morning. I think the early church had it right, meeting every day of the week, that way if a sinner really needed a service, one would be available. Romans 14:5-9, I believe makes clear, that it is only important that we meet, not when we meet.

@Ps13 I see lots of examples in Acts, and sprinkled through the Epistles. It is not commanded, but it is the exampled.
