Just thought I would put in my 2 cents.

The Bible talks about beating obstinate SONS even with a rod of correction if necessary.

Spanking is something that can be good for training little children but if it hurts the hand of the mother to spank, it is probably ineffective or abusive to the child. It is usually not necessary with most girls.

No woman should ever be beaten or treated like a child by her husband. Men who let this kind of thing happen to women who they know about are not men.

Remember they beat Paul (a man) with rods for preaching the Gospel. They were publicly humiliating him, but he took it patiently as a good soldier of Jesus.

I was home schooled so I couldn't get in trouble in school for much. I got spanked a lot though.
I did get addicted to porn in late 2011 and wasn't free until Feb 7th 2016 when I got Born Again for real.

QUESTION:

Why is it that if you talk about Jesus FORGIVING you for your Sins that everyone in church loves you, but if you tell them that Jesus saved you FROM your Sins many of them call you a Heretic?

If Jesus doesn't save you FROM your Sins you will not inherit the kingdom of God.

John 8:34-36, Galatians 5:19-21, 1 John 3:5-10

Is this not the truth?

Jesus came to save His people FROM their Sins. He who is Born Again of God has been Freed FROM his Sins and CANNOT Sin because he has been given a new soft heart and a new spirit that Jesus joins to the Holy Spirit of God. He who is joined to the LORD is One spirit with Him.

Have you not been set free FROM slavery to Sin? Are you not a slave to RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOLINESS? If you have Sinned after supposedly being Born Again where could your Sin have come from or is the Spirit of God not in you? Can the Holy Spirit be joined to a Sinner or did He not keep you from Sin or are you actually Born Again?

Is this not what the Bible says?
If not what has Jesus actually done for you?

Jesus said that unless you Repent of your Sins you will perish in Hell.
Repentance is not just Regret that you did wrong or Remorse that you have hurt others. Repentance is making the choice to turn away from your Sin and to God.

Believing and Calling on the LORD Jesus Christ alone to Save you FROM your Sins.
Jesus said that you must be Baptized in water to enter the kingdom of God. This is not something that someone else can do for you and you cannot do it for yourself.
You must Surrender to Jesus and let Him Baptize you.

🔥 AND YOU WILL RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT 🔥
and He will live IN YOU, FOR YOU AND THROUGH YOU AND CAUSE YOU TO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AND JUDGMENTS AND DO THEM.

Jesus came to pick a fight against the false religions of the world. He came to Destroy the works of the devil. He came to Destroy the Sin Nature and to bury it forever in Baptism and raise man from the dead and make him a Son of God.

Jesus came to save His people FROM their Sins (Matthew 1:21). Anyone who Sins doesn't know Him (1 John 3:6). If He saves you FROM Sin you will be Free indeed (John 8:34-36). Repent and be Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the Remission of your Sins and you will receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38) and He will live in you for you and through you and cause you to walk in His statutes, and you will keep His judgments, and do them. (Ezekiel 36:27).

@farmerjohn because the church is not comfort or buildings. Those things can be idols. If Christians are not willing to meet in a park or in a home then the people who they meet with in a church building are not their brethren. Ether they or those they meet with are not Born Again. Born Again Christians want desperately to be with their family as much as possible whether it is illegal or not.

@sinbach Beyond this I wish to call attention to the fact that Paul was writing in Romans 7:14-24 in the first person present tense about when he was a pharisee & in the flesh(Romans 7:5). Paul confirms this in Romans 8:9 when he says, "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."
