You will get a notification for any ādingā that includes your user name, but unless the author selects you as the only audience, anyone on DingDash can view the comment from the federated timeline. I believe that the local timeline is made up of activities from those that you follow or follow you.
I have also believed many things in life that turned out to be false so be careful with that š¬
@Susan192 itās such a mystery to me as well. What I have learned is there is no āpageā. This is like walking down the street, you are going to see everyone who is not behind a door - and anything you say in the street is going to be heard by everyone.
