@Susan192 it’s such a mystery to me as well. What I have learned is there is no “page”. This is like walking down the street, you are going to see everyone who is not behind a door - and anything you say in the street is going to be heard by everyone.

To control the relative privacy of the things that you say you can click on the globe in the bottom of the text box to select your intended audience.

You will get a notification for any “ding“ that includes your user name, but unless the author selects you as the only audience, anyone on DingDash can view the comment from the federated timeline. I believe that the local timeline is made up of activities from those that you follow or follow you.
I have also believed many things in life that turned out to be false so be careful with that 😬
@Susan192 Took me a bit to learn how to use DingDash too. Just ask what you need and we'll all jump in to help you.
