These are some of the most heart wrenching stories of North Korean defectors I’ve read. I’m not convinced it’s any better now than twenty years ago. In fact I know it’s harder to cross into China than ever before and harder to send money back in to loved ones still there. God is still there though and His Spirit stills revives and gives birth to new spirits even in the harshest times.

@jezzadiah4messiah I read 'In Order to Live' by Yeonmi Park at the start of this year, after seeing an interview with her on YouTube. Heartbreaking story. Even more heartbreaking how many people share the same experience

@bethany it’s estimated that there could be up to fifty thousand similar experiences over the last twenty years just from North Korean women in China. Yeonmi has said also said that her own experience is not as bad as most, including her own sister and mother.

@jezzadiah4messiah I read a Thousand Miles from Freedom in Swedish last year and LOVED IT
