With the planning, prayer preparation that goes into our Missions trips...one sometimes gets anxious.
Partners are sacrificing much to see this work done.... This can put pressure on me....I must perform well!!! I must achieve!!!! the goals set to Convert People and Plant Churches must be met!..... Someone just gave their hard earned money for me to preach the Gospel!....wow!
Sometimes, I over prepare in prayer...and again i almost spoil it with overthinking.....I know what every bit of money means and where it came from!
Oh Jesus..as I go to the field please help me..to be a Worthy Vessel! 😭 I have felt the crushing of inadequacy.
But I am Christian and I have learnt how to Pray....I know how to enter the Presence of my Father and find help...even if it means I am crying as I petition God for strength and His Power.
Missions is an adventure..I tell you...deeply romantic...many tears...some heart breaks out there..but...but...yes but...BUT God is with us.
@Olamide I pray God guide you as you go to plant the seed of God’s Word! The harvest is His! I love Psalm 126:5-6 “ They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goes forth & weeps, bearing precious seed, shall doubtlessly come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him”. I pray God gives you strength to plant.. The Harvest is His! I pray for you & your work for Jesus to prosper through His Spirit!
