I recall, as a child in the 1950s, news reports of Chinese executions of Christian missionaries who still remained in China at that time. Some were tied, hands and feet to four horses and these ridden full speed in four directions. This was barbarous to an extreme, but the blood of martyrs is the seed of the church as Christianity continues to advance in China.
