@speakthetruth best wine? depends on mood and continent, but for a special occasion I'd go for a 2013 or 14 Casa di Amarosa Sinalunga or if you can get from a good dealer a Sassicaia younger than 2016. A sure thing every time is a Tignanello from any year. ⚠️ caution, if you are sharing this wine with a big group, someone who doesn't love wine, wasnt stored correctly or decanted for at least 3 hours, you are wasting money. For a lighter wine, warmer climate go for a Nuits St. George any year if you can find. For easy access and lower price, but still special occasion spring for the 2016ish Duckhorn Merlot. It's Napa Valley in a freaking bottle and delivers well every time even for those that don't know. If someone doesn't like this wine from Duckhorn, smack them and take the bottle back - they don't deserve to be drinking wine 🤣
