Heb_8:13  In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Heb_12:24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant (testament, one of the few times that the word covenant is used in stead), and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Jer_31:31  Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Heb_8:8  For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

@KarMarJo57 Thank you. I wil keep seeking. What proof is there that the Christian Gentiles met on Sunday? Not only that, the sabbath was not just instituted. It was created. Blessings to you too. Keep seeking and press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.:) Again, May God bless you.

@KarMarJo57 Galatians 1 is in reference to the people going to Gnosticism. They were following others who had different ideas as to what the Good news was. Yes I have seen others who have started down this walk and have denied that Jesus is our salvation. This is falling from grace. But it does not have to be this way.

@KarMarJo57 I would agree that we should not condemn someone who does not know the scriptures and still eats wrong or disobeys other parts of God's word out of ignorance as that is what God's grace is for, but we should warn them so they can grow and learn more of our fathers ways.

@KarMarJo57 Amen! that is a blessed verse to show what the kingdom of God is founded on. But does it hurt for us to obey the laws of our God as well as our king? As far as I am concerned, the law of God is supposed to bring blessings and it is also to be a sign as to who God's children are. Matthew 24:31; Mark 13:27. Have you ever wondered how his angels will know who are his? The 7th day sabbath for sure is one of the ways - Exodus 31:17

@KarMarJo57 The only one who can have an oracle is God. an oracle is a Commandment from God directly. Yes, Paul did give commandments but, according to the noble Bereans it matched the scriptures which at that time, was just the old testament. Let's do the same and see if what he said is in line with what our father said. Not to mention, Paul is not our king. The Messiah is and so I want to follow the one who has the same authority as his father.

@KarMarJo57 Can a husband be a couple with out a wife? Or what about the other way around? Can the wife be a couple or get a family without a husband? The husband cannot say to his wife, "I can now have children so you are no longer needed". The husband and wife compliment each other and need each other. It is the same with the old testament law and new testament grace. 1 Peter 2:21 states that we are to follow Christ. Christ is our example how much more should we follow the example of our king?

@KarMarJo57 How can we not do those things that are the very nature of our creator and say we are still made in his image? We can't can we see some young man who looks like his father and every one says he looks and acts like his father, then he changes and quits having the mannerisms of his father, can we now say he acts like or sometimes even looks like his father?

@KarMarJo57 Good point. The law is our school master but just the same, when you go through school and learn, do you get out of school in your later years and no longer continue learning or even stop using what you have learned such as reading, math, spelling, History, etc? No, you still use it. I do agree that the law cannot redeem us, thus the need for Christ. But it is the instructions on how to live.

@KarMarJo57 Also, what part of forever do we not understand? when he says that these things shall be and ordinance FOREVER, why do we not listen to it? God repeatedly punished his children in the OT and would have destroyed them several times if it had not been for others interceding on their behalf and for the longsufferingness of God. Then in the NT, he encourages disobedience to his word??? How can this be?

@KarMarJo57 Romans 7:16 ; 1 Timothy 1:8; Psalms 19:7, all of these state that the law is Good. So if you look at these verses then read 1 Timothy 4:4, you can conclude that the clean meats are good too. 2 Corinthians 6:14 - 18 also brings out that the unclean foods should be abstained from. God views eating unclean things on the same level as fornication.

@KarMarJo57 Now as for this verse on receiving meat with thanks giving. Does it mention clean or unclean meats? Neither! So this can not be said that it applies to unclean foods, in fact, if you read the verse before it it brings out the impression that it is meat in general and that would have been in relation to people like vegans, etc.

@KarMarJo57 This law is the law of sin and death as Christ has conquered death and sin. The concept of the law of sin and death is in the entire old testament, you sin you die. This is the law that was done away with. Do you follow Christ or Paul? I follow Christ and he says in Matthew 5 that the Law shall not pass away but that he came to fulfill (complete) it.

@KarMarJo57 Also read Acts 10:28 as this is the context around the vision that Peter had. He explicitly says that it is in regards to humans. Does God change? If not, does his word? I also find joy in doing as my father in heaven has commanded just as I find safety in doing as my earthly father advises. The word law in the Bible means fence and if you do not do as got says you are out of line just like a naughty child, right?

@KarMarJo57 Is it bondage, to obey your parents when you are a child? Is it bondage for a fish to not be able to walk on land? Is it bondage for us to do as the Lord said? If you fully believe that there will come a day that you will need any kind of meat that is available to survive, are you trusting the Lord? Did he not provide a way for his children in the wilderness to eat or to drink? If you trust him, could he not provide a way for you to not break his commandments?

Did you know that Pigs are a garbage can for bacteria (bacteria that can cause cancer and other very bad diseases (swine flu, Covid-19, etc,)? drjockers.com/dont-eat-pig-mea
Did you know that shrimp and shell fish are the vacuum cleaners of the ocean carrying bacteria that cause cancer, and other things?

How about food laws? The law of God says we should not eat unclean animals or humans but lets say you are hungry and you decide to eat a wild dog. Would you do it? What about a native cannibalistic native people group that you tell that the food laws don't matter then if you go to visit, and they offer you food with human meat because this man died in a hunting accident. What would you do? Aren't you confusing them?

I think not. God changed the law in regard for a sacrifice and gave us the final sacrifice which we should use.
As God's kingdom is not physical thus we (as his peaceful citizens) should not kill for capital punishment, not to mention, the government is the only one who is given authority to kill to such a measure. To add to this, we are to not take part in our earthly governments so this is another reason we should not kill that we can remain blameless and spotless.
