Please don’t forget to pray for the orphans in China. Because of Covid no international adoptions are moving forward and there are many children waiting for parents and a loving home. 😰😰😰😰😰 they are on my hearts every day. Some little children even had parents arriving to be pick them up and bring them home.... when suddenly the China wall went up and no one could come in to pick them up anymore until Covid restrictions are lifted. Those children have been waiting ever since. Those parents are besides themselves waiting to come get them! Please pray the hearts can be turned soon to opening back up the roads for adoption. And that the people of God could also have moved hearts towards providing homes for children who have been abandoned and are suffering every day without a family.

@weavers4jesus That is heartbreaking. It's been years. Those little ones are growing up and missing precious, formative time with their adoptive families and the families are missing milestones and relationship-building memories. I hadn't previously thought of how covid restrictions would interrupt adoptions. Are Chinese families still able to adopt? And, are they doing so? Or, are most adopted internationally?

@Cherishingsparrows2020
Chinese families very rarely adopt.The
Culture here has been formed to only want a perfect child, and 95% of Chinas orphans have some type of issue wether it be physical, mental or sometimes even as small as a visable birthmark.The babies who are born to unwed mothers (rare due to the high abortion rate) are quickly adopted by parents on a wait list for a perfect baby. But those babies are extremely rare. So most adoptions are definitely international.

There used to be many “foster homes” which were basically like orphanages created by foreigners (usually Christians) where gov orphanages would allow children to go live with them while still registered in the gov one. These “ foster homes” were amazing! Full of love and kind care. Full of medical treatments, surgeries and schooling.Until the government swooped through a few years ago and forced them all to close and send the children back to gov facilities. The children now suffer a lot.
Thank you for caring!

@weavers4jesus Oh, that is so sad!
I saw a movie that showed the switch from the "foster home" type orphanage to the government run one. It was disturbing. It's easy to see that as a movie story line and fail to realize this is still affecting so many children who don't have the love and care they need. Yes, thank you for making us aware of this situation!

@Cherishingsparrows2020 hey can you post the link. I’d like to see it. Although I have experienced it in really life and it knocked me so hard during these past few years that I am leaning on God to renew my strength.
