There are certain things about Americans that make me happy. For instance, I rented a car with Enterprise and when I discovered I had been overcharged, they reduced the price and gave me $400 USD to make it "right." The next day when I discovered that my new receipt didn't reflect the $400 discount, Enterprise took an additional $200 off to make it "right." There are not many countries where that would happen.
....and free refills. The only country with free refills.
@Berrybunchfamily I have learned that I am more likely to find free refills in the UK if I go to an american chain restaurant like Ruby Tuesdays, Five Guys, etc.
@sinbach @Berrybunchfamily don't get me started on American restaurant waitressing - always so SO friendly. As a Brit, it's terrifying...
@Berrybunchfamily @sinbach no you're right. We don't exactly go the extra mile with service. But the whole "give you your food and leave you alone" approach, I appreciate😂
