Looks like the eldest shares mummy’s love of heights, fast rides and adrenaline! This was our 4 year olds favourite ride yesterday! Mummy joined him of course 😉
@Berrybunchfamily oh no! Where was that?
@Lindseyay I'm struggling to remember...it closed down as an adventure park many years ago...I'm thinking east of Stoke on Trent (north Midlands).
@Lindseyay i got the name of the ride wrong - it was called the Missile
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_American_Adventure_Theme_Park
it was a good fun place, soon to be homes instead it seems
@Berrybunchfamily oh I remember going there on a school trip (obviously a few years ago 🙈). Have you ever been to Alton Towers?
@Lindseyay oddly, no - I don't remember going there
I always ended up at Drayton Manor Park, which was a little closer (and cheaper) to where I grew up
I did drive a truck into Alton towers though :-) and created some [deliberate] chaos and mayhem with a crane
@Lindseyay perhaps a dumb question, but did you grow up in the UK? With DingDash i never really know even what nation people are in ;-)
@Berrybunchfamily @Lindseyay she's as Yorkshire as they come 😉
@bethany @Lindseyay fair enough then 🙂
@bethany @Lindseyay perhaps we could "preferred accent" to the DingDash profile 😜
@Berrybunchfamily @bethany now there’s an idea 😂
@Lindseyay @bethany 😂 it'd beat the preferred pronoun nonsense
do you think it would be ok if I called somebody by my preferred pronoun for them? can't see any issues with that personally 🤣
@bethany @Berrybunchfamily absolutely!! 😃
@Lindseyay awesome
sadly, i lost my ability to do anything like that many years ago.
there was a theme park (now gone) in the UK, and one ride was simply called "the rocket"
they pulled you backwards until you were vertical, about 100 foot in the air then let you go...gravity did the rest, and then you got to the entire ride again only backwards
i've never been so ill.....................and never been able to do it since
