What you say is true, if you want to be safe from malware, bots, hackers etc.
But those are not the issue.
At all.
What you want to be safe from in closed countries is lawful interception. That can be done easily at your provider. Brands of your gadgets don't matter here.
It gets even worse with "source telecommunication surveillance" (I hope that's the proper English word) government-built Trojans/rootkits that intercept even before encryption...
@erdenpilger I think @sinbach knows that but does not want to talk about it. It's something I was trying to tell @raymondthebrave but he didnt want to hear it. unless one knows everything about the software and hardware, how does one know what it's doing?
@sinbach if they use that on you (and it IS done) even your desperate attempts to encrypt communication (ZRTP SIP, Skype, etc) is totally useless.
To not use electronic devices at all is the ONLY way, to be safe from the governments surveillance.
