I am sooo glad these days are OVER!
I LOVE watching What I want to watch, WHEN I want to watch it - WHERE I want to watch it for HOWEVER LONG I want to watch it for.
@Berrybunchfamily I always had so many late fines to pay.
@sinbach I remember rushing to avoid those...can't recall if we were ever too late or not, though...seems like a lifetime ago now

Sometimes I actually miss the buildup to the movie...grabbing snacks, compromising on which movie, and the anticipation as we drove home to watch it...and then came the late fee because we both thought the other would return it...😆
@SmithG1 I was always horrible with returning movies and library books on time
@sinbach we rarely rented movies because the store was 10 miles away! Then, finally!! a little store just 5 miles away made room in a corner for a few. Ya had to go early or the newest movies would be gone.
I too am glad it's history... I'm not much of a movie watcher anyway.
@MaryMamuzich I am a movie buff. My passion is wine, but certain movies bring a lot of joy to my life.
@sinbach I do like some movies but I like books better.
@MaryMamuzich for me, movies and books have different phases in my life. sometimes I'm in a place in life where books are the only thing I care to consume. And sometimes, a movie hits the right spot. Movies have a group experience component that can be experienced together with others. I like that. Books are more of a journey in solitude and at times, I like that too. All depends I guess
@sinbach I miss the physical experience of renting movies. It could be part of a date and opened up a lot of discussion possibilities. Some inefficiencies in many things had secondary benefits that you miss after they're gone. Don't miss the late fees!
@sinbach I used to go to Redbox but the movies got so poorly done that I don’t go there anymore. I go to the Library and pick out oldies and Christian.
