Work on the new BerryBunch.family website is coming along really well. So here's a brief update. 😁

We're missing making new video content, but with covering the Breakfast Show on Konnect Radio we're glad of the change in our usual routine on top of all the work for the new website, which made covering the usual host doable.

A change is as good as a rest, and we had a blast with those 7-10am weekday slots.

Dave the Dog is missing recording too, but he'll be back doing some more story times from this coming Saturday - for our regular 3-6pm Sunday show on Konnect Radio.

And I'm taking two days of proper down time, just munching chocolate hob nobs, drinking early grey tea (sitting by our roaring log burner) and deliberately doing nothing much else except a drive to the sea to drink from a flask and watch the waves crash against the beach.

By the way people, we're on air on Christmas day, 8am til 10 am (UK) (sandwiched between the lovely John Clayton and the effervescent Gareth Cottrell)

We're then back for the Breakfast Show for a couple of weeks (from Tuesday).

Merry Christmas and if you want some company, tune into Konnect Radio where we have a truly epic team of fantastic presenters and even better music.

: You’re greater than you think you are

Today’s testimony is really a testimony of just how good God is, and how faithful He truly is.

It speaks of God’s handiwork over the course of nearly 3 decades!

The BerryBunch

“You’re greater than you think you are”
It was the summer of 1996 and I was getting ready to graduate from the PAIS Project (now the PAIS movement). I’d spent 12 months working out of a Pentecostal church in Droylsden, Manchester (UK) who provided me with a home to live in for the year with a church family. I, in turn, provided help with the youth work for that church. Monday to Friday was the PAIS Project and we mostly provided assemblies in Primary and Secondary Schools around East Manchester. Sometimes we’d also give lessons to schools too, and we also supported many lunch time clubs (Christian Unions). [READ MORE]

A Brief Pause with Andy B, 24.11.22

When the people of Israel heard these requirements, they responded generously… by bringing the first share of their grain, new wine, olive oil, honey, and all the produce of their fields.

“One-tenth of the produce of the land, whether grain from the fields or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord and must be set apart to him as holy.

What a day we had yesterday (Sunday)

On the go from 7am, and not home until nearly 11pm, but worth every moment

Started at the PAIS Project (schools mission work) 30th anniversary at it's first [home] church - Wellspring Community Church in Moston, Manchester.

Jo and I met up - after 26 years! - with the Global Director (Paul Gibbs), a fellow PAIS volunteer from my year - 1995-1996, the then pastor and others too (and the new UK directors who just arrived from South Africa).

Over the past 3 decades PAIS workers have reached more than 1 million children with the gospel, on 6 continents, and in 22 countries. It's a great [free] year out to do some missions work!!

Then we went not very far to have tea with Gareth Cottrell - the head of the global Christian radio station we do a show for - Konnect Radio (and cuddle his 6 week old baby)

What a day

We are blessed 😊

A Brief Pause with Andy B, 15.11.2022

Most of our life is spent hoping God’s got this, remembering that He does and seeing that He has.

During the Konnect Radio quiz today we had this comment come in from one of our lovely listeners. A screenshot I'll keep I think!!

Which brought a smile to my face 😊

I've rarely been described as normal 😉

Missed the quiz? Fridays, from 8am. Brilliant fun - listen in and get involved: konnectradio.com/

: God Saves

I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. (Psalm 121: 1-2)

I have heard that it’s good to open with a joke and I happen to have one!

I was struggling to know how to deal with a situation at work and I was reminded of the joke about the guy who asked God for help. Do you know the one I mean? Whether you’ve heard it before or not, let me share this joke:

A man goes swimming and gets pulled out to sea. A boat passes by him and the man is told to climb aboard but he says, “I have faith, God will save me.”

The Coast Guard arrives with a rescue helicopter and tells him to climb the ladder up, but he says, “I have faith, God will save me.”

The man is now getting tired but thankfully a dolphin swims under him and starts to carry him to shore, but the man pushes the dolphin away [READ MORE]

2 days (9th November) and we'll be celebrating 26 years of marriage.

I can't say it's all been bliss - it hasn't.

I can't say it's all been easy because God is at the centre. He is, but it hasn't been easy!

But, I can say that I'm looking forward to the next 26 years because we've gone places I'd never had dreamed of (although not really geographically...)

This time last year we were all very all as a family with COVID. So, our celebrations for 25 years were Jo monitoring my breathing in case she needed to call an ambulance!

But if that isn't a picture of true love in marriage, I don't know what is...

The foam heart she made for me for that day is the most precious item in my house (that she made from a left over sheet of thin foam - she had COVID too)

6 tubs of carrot and ginger soup, ready for the freezer.

Total cost was about £4, plus the cooking time for two slow cookers.

Each tub will feed all five of us 😊

A little gem from this mornings breakfast show, Live, big fat quiz of the week...and one of my answers that I was asked to edit down into a shorter clip.

Our radio show on Konnect Radio gains an hour as we'll be going from 3 til 6pm each week from this Sunday

You're welcome 😁
