@xixiangdong brother how do you post videos? I wanna do one!
@raymondthebrave we are in Jackson Hole WY and my wife works for FAI US HQ here. 💪🏽 Yes we did a group showing for the film... And we are headed over to that region next year, God willing. Just looking to connect with other laborers in the region or to the people group.
@raymondthebrave @xixiangdong @OilPainter we were just talking about Joel! Love his work. I haven't read Islamic Antichrist but have read Mideast Beast which gives great detail like you are saying. I don't want to get into a debate today but I'm glad another brother likes Joel Richardson's work
@xixiangdong easier said than done! Ha. Thanks brother
@xixiangdong @OilPainter I am not an experienced student of the end times or the Fourth Kingdom. I have been persuaded by Joel Richardson's teachings on the Fourth Kingdom being the Islamic Empire. He has written several books and done a few debates defending his position. He has convinced me it cannot be Rome, but I look forward to watching your video when it comes out and to be a Berean.
@Cristian022 these are good questions we need to be asking. I do not see Peter as associating Rome (in this case as a heathen city) with the future prophetic Babylon of Armageddon. I think that is an unnecessary assumption
In short, it doesn't make sense for Peter to give a very abrupt prophetic association in his farewell remarks.
@Cristian022 do we have any record of any apostle going to the literal city of Babylon? No? I think the best answer here is Rome, as some of my brothers have already said.
@Kruselady using Islam as the example. Most common example would be using Allah instead of God as a way to build a cultural bridge. .it's removing barriers to discipleship. Can get much worse i e. Referring to Quran as God's word
@xixiangdong the teachers I follow understand it is the Islamic empire that is the fourth kingdom. Free resources on Joelstrumpet.com
@xixiangdong My friend knows a seminary student in Amman.
@Kruselady it's ok. You should check it out. It's a spectrum of contextualizing discipleship
@Joshua_D_Jones #5 firm, but delicate XD excellent
@KarMarJo57 me think, why waste time say lot word, when few do trick #TheOfficeReference
@Ashtree right. Will our disciples recognize the King when he returns? IM is becoming a larger movement, and they use Acts 17 to explain their strategy. Paul refers to pagan texts to point people to Jesus. I am happy to use Qur'an to build a bridge but I will never go so far to suggest it is God's Word
@KarMarJo57 That is a perfect example of appropriate vs. inappropriate contextualization
@KarMarJo57 happy to explain. Insider Movement is basically discipling unbelievers to follow Jesus while still retaining the cultural identity of their former faith (i.e. following Jesus, but continuing to identify as a Muslim). It requires the 'redefining' of many key words. You may read more about it here. Would love to know what you think. https://www.abwe.org/blog/unveiling-muslim-insider-movement-part-1-defining-terms
